Upon arriving at the airport, travellers will be whisked away to their hotel at Hanoi Old Quarter and be given free reign to explore the district, which is rich with French-colonial architecture, Buddhist temples, and pagodas. After enjoying a night out, get ready for a long drive the following day to Halong Bay to embark on the V’Spirit Classic Cruise. Feast on a delectable lunch among the limestone islands, kayak around the bay, and swim at the beach of Soi Sim Island before retiring for the night on-board the cruise.
The third day will be spent exploring Sung Sot Cave–a UNESCO World Heritage Site– and returning to the hotel in Hanoi. A 17-hour train ride awaits the following day; the destination being Da Nang, a coastal city known for its sandy beaches and its French-colonial history. Tourists will be transferred to a hotel at Hội An on the fifth day, where they may spend their time at leisure in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city has been extremely well-preserved and reflects its past as a trading port from the 15th century to the 19th century. On the sixth day, a bus will ferry travellers to My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was built in the 4th century under the rule of Cham’s King Bhadravaman. A huge religious complex, it encompasses up to 70 towers and temples that reflects Hinduism’s influence on the area. Following that, a short trip to Thu Bồn River allows travellers to observe the lifestyles of the local people while breathing in the fresh air.
A flight to Ho Chi Minh City takes up nearly the entirety of the seventh day; however, tourists will get to visit Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda and An Khánh the following day, giving them a perspective into the daily life of the people living in Mekong Delta. The ninth day will be spent at the Củ Chi tunnels, a gigantic network of underground tunnels that were the location of several military campaigns during the Vietnam War. Despite its past, the surrounding area is filled with sceneries of paddy fields with ducks and water buffaloes, offering a bright outlook amidst a grim history. Tourists are free to visit Ho Chi Minh City on the tenth day for some last minute shopping before embarking on their homebound flight.
